Radha Nath Institute Of Advanced Studies In Education ::

Departments of the Institute :: Radhanath I.A.S.E. has five academic departments. Department of Pre-service Education Functions (i) To organise pre-service education programmes leading to B.Ed., M.Ed. and M.Phil. degrees.

(ii) To organise programmes on Elementary Teacher Education to prepare Elementary Teacher Educator (This can be taken up as a part of B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes).

(iii) To organise longer duration and specialised courses/programmes in appropriate areas the basis of need of this state and capacity of the IASE.

Department of Research and Innovation

Functions:

(i) To co-ordinate institutional research programmes undertaken by different departments.

(ii) To co-ordinate the research programmes undertaken by the Training School, DIETs, Training Colleges and CTEs.

(iii) To co-ordinate the Ph.D. programme of the IASE.

(iv) To organise advanced level fundamental, applied and experimental researches both in education and inter disciplinary subjects.

This department is manned by one Professor, one Reader, four Lecturers, and three Research Assistants.

Department of Inservice Education

Functions:

(i) To plan and organise inservice training programmes on subject specific courses for secondary school teachers and Headmasters.

(ii) To plan and organise inservice training programmes for the members of teaching staff of DIETs and Secondary Training Schools including the Heads of such Institutions.

(iii) To plan and organise inservice training programmes for the members of the teaching staff of the CTEs and Training Colleges.

(iv) To organise short them specific inservice training programmes on value education, work experience, environmental awareness in education, computer literacy, educational technology and science education.

(v) To plan and organise inservice training programmes for the supervisors of Secondary Schools.

The department is manned by one Reader, three Lecturers, and three Instructors.

Department of Extension Education and School Complex

Function:

(i) To organise extension service in the schools of extension area.

(ii) To organise school complex activities in the schools of educational circles under its jurisdiction.

(iii) To provide academic resource supports and guidance to individual teachers and schools of secondary level including DIETs and S.T. Schools where required.

(iv) To organise Programmes for encouraging community participation.

(v) To provide academic resource support to professional bodies.

The department is manned by one Reader and two Lecturers.

Department of Publication and Special Programmes

Functions:

(i) To develop instructional packages.

(ii) To bring out the Calendar, Magazine, News letter and other publications of the Institute.

The department is manned by one Reader and three Lecturers.
